How to Wear a Facial Compression Garment
This video explains the correct way to wear a facial compression garment, when to wear it, and helpful tips for healing after a facial surgery.
Everything you need to know about facial compression garments.
Facial compression garments are essential for seeing best results after your facial surgery. Your compression garment should:
- Not have a seam
- Cover all incisions and the entirety of the surgical site
- Likely secure with velcro
- Remain smooth (fabric should not fold)
- Be worn continuously for 6 weeks after your surgery. Continuous wear will prevent fluid buildup in the surgical area which could diminish proper healing.
Helpful tip: You can wear a thin cotton headband to protect your ears against irritation.
